Basement Finish
A building permit may be required to finish the basement of your home. If you are moving plumbing or changing structural components in your house such as removing a load-bearing wall or column, a building permit is required.

Second Suite + Separate Entrance
It is common that when designing/ constructing a basement apartment/ second suite a new independent entrance serving the suite will be included. The entrance serving the suite provides relief to other sections of the building code such as the requirement for an egress window.

We submit our designs for building permit approval.

A building permit is received for commencement of construction from the authority having jurisdiction.

We carry out the construction and notify the authorities having jurisdiction of readiness for inspections.
