    A separate entrance is desirable for maintaining the privacy of the occupants of a home. This feature will add value to any home. A second entrance as it relates to a second suite provides occupants with unobstructed access to the outdoors in event of emergency.

  • Basement Finish

    A building permit may be required to finish the basement of your home. If you are moving plumbing or changing structural components in your house such as removing a load-bearing wall or column, a building permit is required.

  • Second Suite + Separate Entrance

    It is common that when designing/ constructing a basement apartment/ second suite a new independent entrance serving the suite will be included. The entrance serving the suite provides relief to other sections of the building code such as the requirement for an egress window.

  • You contact us to discuss your project by clicking the contact button above. Following our discussion we will prepare for you a feasibility study and estimate.

  • We arrange a site visit with you to take measurements, photos and discuss required documentation.

  • We prepare a design for your approval.

  • We submit our designs for building permit approval.

  • A building permit is received for commencement of construction from the authority having jurisdiction.

  • We carry out the construction and notify the authorities having jurisdiction of readiness for inspections.
